spring is sure to follow

"no matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow."
- proverb

although i loved my snow-filled winter, i'm excited that spring is finally here!
here are some photos from the first few weeks of spring...
beautiful skies, april showers, and cheerful flowers :)

tea for two {the lincoln room}

"there are few hours in life more agreeable
than the hour dedicated to afternoon tea."
-henry james, the portrait of a lady

my mom and i visited a sweet tea shop called the lincoln room
while i was at home for a few days.

we enjoyed delicious irish breakfast tea,
homemade vegetable soup, and the "tea for two" tower.
it was the perfect lunch - catching up over sandwiches, scones, and sips of tea!

fun fact: this tea room is called the lincoln room because our 16th president's
first biography was published in the same building in february 1860 :)

color crush: shamrock green & gold

may you live a long life full of gladness and health,
with a pocket full of gold, as the least of your wealth.

may the dreams you hold dearest be those which come come true.
and may the kindess you spread keep returning to you.
-irish blessing

san antonio {the city}

during our visit, we pulled ourselves away from the beautiful riverwalk
to explore the city streets of san antonio.

remembering the alamo's history.
visiting the {davy} crockett hotel.
enjoying delicious paninis at a local cafe.
smiling at all of the colorful mosaics on the sidewalks.
taking in the old southwestern architecture on every street.
and admiring the bright red la antorcha de la amistad {torch of friendship} in the city center.

gracias san antonio, hasta luego!
