rainy days

well, it's been a busy & wet few days running around campus in the rain!

had to break out the umbrella, raincoat, and boots to walk to class.

my jeans are still soaked from yesterday.

but that's probably because i was the crazy person stopping

to snap iphone photos while it was pouring.

mother nature is definitely keeping us on our toes!

color crush: spearmint & pale pink

i came across this artwork by emily ley on my pinterest and
loved the saying and the minty green color.

so i decided to do a color crush with the mint and added a soft pale pink.

i thought the color pairing was very romantic so i picked items that are girly and sweet,
with ruffles, ribbons, ballet shoes, and lots of pretty stone jewelry.

new york state of mind

i'm headed to upstate new york for the long holiday weekend to spend time with my family :)

i'm hoping to get some fresh fruit and maybe my favorite fall treat...apple cider!

i always think of this song every time september rolls around...then i can't get the song out of my head for weeks!  i'm so excited that the temperatures are starting to get cooler and fall is getting closer and closer :)

i thought it was also a good time to switch out my beachy, seagull blog banner and replace it with one of my autumn photos to welcome in september...
