welcome fall

wow, i can't believe i missed the first day of fall on friday
...it's finally here!

welcome back fall...so glad to see you again :)

...and i got some cheerful flowers in the prettiest of fall hues [thanks mom!]

looking forward to all of those leaf-falling, pumpkin-carving, apple-cider-drinking days :)

color crush: cerise pink & sandalwood

i've decided that i need a little break from all of my academic work to do some more creative, inspiring things. so this week on friday, i'm going to spend the whole day focused on my favorite creative outlets...photography, graphic design, & my stack of fashion magazines :)

my color crush this week is inspired by this day devoted to creativity. so i'm pairing a soft neutral with a fun pop of pink. i love this sweet ruche dress, long fitted cardigan, and simple flats. i also threw in a beautiful note card from kate spade [such pretty design inspiration!] and a relaxing candle.

work has been a bit overwhelming lately, but there's always time for a little fun...

color crush: powder blue & steel gray

wow, another week has flown by! I can't believe it.  things are still really busy with school, so i've been neglecting the blog a bit [so sad!]. but i do have a post for the color crush this week :)

i thought i'd try something different and do a bedroom makeover color combo.  i really loved the vintage ski poster and thought that it went well with one of my favorite sheet sets at pottery barn. i was loving the wintery nature theme, so i included my simon pearce glass evergreens [love them] and found a sweet metal leaf bowl to go with it. throw in a comfy chemise and robe and we're ready for a slumber party!
