photo-a-day june #19-24

almost done with the june photo-a-day challenge!

here's the next six...

#19) imperfect: i was really bummed when my favorite computer bag broke rendering it unusable - but then i fixed it with a simple black binder ring and voilà, good as new.
#20) favorite photo: i am obsessed with tree silhouettes and pretty skies so, when scrolling through my camera for my favorite photo i've taken, this one made me smile. i just love the bright pink and blue sunset sky.
#21) where i slept: i had to come home unexpectedly so i slept in my bed at my parent's house with the sweet little bear who holds my spot when i'm away :)
#22) from a high angle: the view from my dad's hospital room.
#23) movement: a cool ceiling fan on a hot day. such a blessing!
#24) on my mind: making a sweet message from my dog. hoping that my dad feels better soon!

photo-a-day june #13-18

here are the next six photos of the june photo-a-day challenge...

#13) "how do you say coffee?" art at the local cocoa beanery.
#14) time {thyme} for dinner!
#15) yellow fuddrucker's sign - they have delicious veggie burgers.
#16) out & about at target on a saturday morning.
#17) daily essentials in my bag, including lots of my fav j&j products [can you tell i used to work there? ;)]
#18) something most people may not know about me? i've played the piano since I was 6 years old :) i only play about twice a year at this point but i love it every time i get a chance to play.

color crush: vintage teal & coral

i dream of one day having a whole room devoted to my creative hobbies.
wouldn't that be so amazing?

bins of beautiful ribbons. stacks of pretty paper.
jars of pens & pencils in every color.
a letterpress with drawers of fun typecases.
a clothesline clipped with newly printed photos.

a girl can dream...
...and she can pretend to decorate for one in this week's color crush ;)

{PBteen chair, PBteen phone dock lamp, just shoot print via handz on etsy,
vintage cameras print via handz on etsy, PBteen striped pillow}

i found those fun photography prints on esty by the talented designer handz
and loved the simple graphic designs and playful retro colors.

and pottery barn teen has some pretty fun, colorful furniture.
like that lamp with an iphone dock & built-in speakers? awesome.

...maybe one day :)

simple joy {peppermint tea}

"o' peppermint tea
two delights per sip
one steamy hot as passion
and one cool as a wintry lake dip"
- terri guillemets

i haven't been feeling so great the past few days,
so lately my nights have been ending with the nice hot mug of peppermint tea.
so relaxing and delicious.
