final week

it's been a busy week with the end of semester presentations and papers.

here's my engineering design class at a conference presenting our final prototypes.

we also had to present to the company executives and design team for our product.

it was a fun week, but very exhausting!

color crush: coffee bean & cream

i've been really drawn to soft, simple neutrals lately.

i think they're so classic & a nice transition from winter to spring.

especially with all of this crazy weather we've been having...

one day it's snowing, the next it's 80 degrees & sunny!

school's out

i can't believe it.

yesterday i had my very last class of my graduate program!

[so, of course, i took a photo to remember it ;)]

i still have some presentations and reports before the end of the semester,

but classes are officially over. forever. wow!

2 years down.

2-3 more years of research to go.

...so exciting!

rainy run

we were supposed to get snow yesterday here in happy valley [i was so excited!]

but sadly it was mostly rain all day. cold, wet rain.

snow would have been so much better!

i've been trying to run every day so yesterday was a test of my will power...

i was so warm & comfy cozied up with a cup of tea and soft, fleece blanket.

but i put on my running shoes and kept the promise to myself.

fresh juice

i got a new juicer a few weeks ago and i'm totally in love with it.

i've been trying out some fruit and veggie recipes.

the apple/pear/strawberry was definitely my favorite so far!

the device is sort of a pain to clean after every juicing,

but the fresh flavor is definitely worth it!

i had a pretty run on the trail today!

blooming trees and lots of golfers enjoying the sun.

i caught up on some very important reading this weekend...

learning about the new trends in fashion & makeup is much more fun than classwork ;)

color crush: kelly green & navy blue

it's been awhile since i've done a color crush!

i've been seeing a lot of kelly green & navy combos lately and i just love it.

especially with the stripes.

april {snow} showers

well i finally got to see some snow today!

i know it's april, and everyone else on campus was miserable,

all bundled up and complaining about the snow...

...but i was happy :)

happy easter

i'm heading home this weekend to see my family for easter!

i can't wait to see all of my mom's spring decorations.
...we don't get a lot of that in grad housing & i miss it!

CIHDS conference

today i'm at the conference for the

center for integrated healthcare delivery systems.

basically that's a fancy name that means that a bunch of doctors, nurses, vendors, and

researchers are getting together to talk about the cool stuff going on in health technology :)

...should be fun!

[and we get free food & drinks! ...which is always fun]

fiddlehead

the weather has been soo pretty!

sunshine & cool breezes.

if i can't have my snow, then this weather is perfect :)

so i've been trying to get downtown more and enjoy the weather.

i met up with a friend to try out a new soup & salad cafe called fiddlehead.

funny name...but really, really good salads!

hope you are able to get out and enjoy the sunshine too!
