color crush: peach & watermelon

i had to rest and keep my foot elevated & iced this weekend

so i felt like i missed out on a fun, BBQ-filled holiday

[however, my foot was very grateful for the rest, so it worked out okay :)]

so this week's color crush is all about the picnic/BBQ that i wish i was at this weekend!

...fun & fabulous with sunny skies and fruity drinks...

fracture

well i guess i've been running a little too much lately...

...and in the wrong shoes.

i found out on friday that i have a stress fracture in my foot.

so sad.

and i'm definitely not a fan of the crutches!

but thankfully i won't have to use them for long

...because i'm really, really bad at walking with them.

it's kind of comical.

here's hoping for a speedy recovery

color crush: french blue & tangerine

i found this french blue dress on pinterest awhile ago.
the color always makes me so happy when i see it.

i thought a nice juicy tangerine tone would be a fun pairing for the spring/summer :)

flowered walking path

i had mentioned last week that there's a great path around the medical center.

it's so pretty and surrounded by lots of open land and vibrant wild flowers.

those happy flowers are definitely motivation to keep up with my running :)

fingers-crossed that the forecast for scattered thunderstorms is wrong for the rest of the week
so that i can get outside and enjoy my new path!

since going back to school, i've been trying to swap out luxury items...

...like making my own coffee,
instead of indulging in my beloved starbucks grande mocha-non-fat-no-whip [yum!]

i was too busy to go to starbucks at the end of the school semester,

so i was super excited to see my card balance last week

the weather was so pretty last friday, so i decided to explore my new little area.
i walked over to a coffee shop right near my apartment...
the cocoa beanery.

i had a delicious harvest turkey sandwich while i finished up my work for the day.
such a sweet little coffee shop!

i think i've found my new irvings for the summer :)

this color combo is inspired by all of the fruit & herb recipes i've been seeing lately.

this mango basil sorbet recipe caught my eye [vodka optional?...yes, please].

the yellowish-orange & earthy green make a nice spring outfit :)

new home "sweet" home

well i made it!

i moved into my new home in the sweet town of hershey this weekend.

the town is really nice & it has a pretty walking trail around the medical campus

[dare i say, it might even rival my beloved PSU golf course trail!]

there's even hershey kisses on the tops of the lamp posts downtown.

can't get much sweeter than that!

should be a fun summer...

well the time has come!

all my reports are turned in, all my bags are packed

and i'm moving out for the summer.

i'm heading to hershey for a brief pit stop,

then heading home for a week to see all of my favorite people :) 

after that i'll be moving into my new apartment

& meeting my 3 new roommates

[fingers-crossed that they're normal - or at least quiet & clean ;)]
