one of my favorite moments of winter
is when freshly fallen snow sparkles in the morning's golden sunrise.

color crush: winter gray & ice blue

i think mother nature heard me complaining last year about the lack of wintery weather,

because this year she has completely spoiled me with a real, beautiful winter!

i wake up almost every morning to fluffly snowflakes falling outside my window,

a blanket of pure white happiness covering the ground.

the cold winter air makes me feel alive on my walks across campus

and i get to wear all of pretty mittens and scarves.
it's just how winter should be :)

so this color crush is dedicated to mother nature...thank you for all of your wintery wonderfulness!

snow puppy

we had quite a snowstorm after christmas.
my sweet puppy & i were in heaven!

we put on our warmest coats
and ventured out to explore the white, frosty world.

louie didn't want to come in until it became too deep
and he could barely make it across the backyard!
my snow puppy and i warmed up with some hot cocoa & warm blankets.

it was a fun day :)

 while in upstate new york, we visited the beautiful town of skaneateles.
the snow fell softly over the lake, while we walked the streets
admiring the festive decorations and store fronts.
we ended our walk with a delicious lunch at the sherwood inn.

the snow had finally arrived & it created a magical winter wonderland for our day in skaneateles.

there's nothing quite like that magical time right before christmas :)
